No, Kdiskfree doesn't list it. Maybe not a surprise since DrakConf lists it as follows - it apparently hasn't found a driver for it.

Vendor: ‎Toshiba America Info Systems

Bus: ‎PCI

Bus identification: ‎1179:805:1179:1

Location on the bus: ‎2:d:0

Description: ‎SD TypA Controller

Module: ‎unknown

Media class: ‎SYSTEM_OTHER

I'm wondering if I could find a driver for it somewhere or if this is a lost cause. SD card readers in laptops are unusual.

Olof,

Open KdiskFree and see if it is listed. If so right click and select open in
Filemanager. Let us know how you go.

My Toshiba Tecra 9000 running Mandrake 9.1 has a built in SD card reader
(reports itself as "SD Type A Controller") on the PCI bus.

Does anyone know if it will be possible to get Mandrake to recognize it?

Thanks ahead,
