Well, I was trying to correct a few weird permission faults today in my mp3 server, when I sent a chmod -R 666 * at my home directory. It knocked out my KDE Desktop, and probably several other things, but luckily I killed it quick!
One other time, I pointed a chmod -R at another folder, and everytime I loaded KDE, it took much longer than before. Thank god that one is in my past. So, what's the dumbest thing you have done? -- Linux: For the people, by the people.
