Is there any reason why I should not disable the depmod section of the initscript. I have a 300MHz PII notebook that works great as a mobile word porcessor but takes forever to boot. I've already turned off harddrake and tried bootig with the depmod disabled and I saw no ill effects, I just want to be sure there isn't something more I should no about. BTW, the change reduced boot time by about 90 seconds. -- Greg
