I hace similar problem for a PS2 mouse after rebooting (see bug https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3858 ) I have the ECS K7S5A motherboard i think it might be related to the probelem. Tonight I'll try the pmsuspend script to verify if the problem exists too.
