My lilo entry have vga=788.  I don't recall the
failsafe entry (whatever default the system makes it
as during install).  I haven't tried starting throught
the no-framebuffer entry as yet.  I could try that
this evening.

Is there a framebuffer issue with the 0.18 kernel?
