Hi all,
A few linux versions ago I remember you had to have
your boot partition under 8GB to boot. Since one of my systems is dual boot and
linux was installed after winblows, I had to leave the first partition to be for
it and only resized it to 7.5GB and set the boot partition right after it. The
whol HDD is 100GB, but had to partition it like this from the upmentioned
reasons. The prob is that almost each proggie I install under winblows insists
in installing a lot of crap (dlls and other files) on my first drive (C:) though
the main files from prog are installed as I set to on one of the other
partitions. So even with all progs installed on other partitions my C has
>6GB full. And that with the swap file also moved to other partition. Since I
have to remain in dual boot I would like to increase the C partition as I still
have lots of space on the others, but dunno if linux will still work if I set
the linux boot partition higher than 8GB. Anyone knows if this is no longer an
issue? Or any workarounds for the situation?
Thanx in advance.
Best regards,
Adrian
