I just installed MDK 9.1 on a friend's system and the fonts and icons have a shadow to the right. This is in KDM, KDE, and GNOME and possibly more. This was very noticiable right after install. I updated freetype2 from texstar's site and installed the msfonts from there as well as imported all the fonts from the Win2000 dual boot side(on another hard drive). I installed nvidia's latest drivers(with success). I've searched mandrakes mailing list archives, the forum, nvidia's forum, google and anything else I could think of. It makes it very hard to read anything and a real strain on the eyes. I'm unsure of what to do or look at next. This system had run MDK 9.0 before just fine. I did a screenshot with KSnapshot and it shows up fine on my computer. MDK 9.1 did detect the monitor and set the resolution at 1024x768 with 24 bit color on install. The monitor is a Dell(Samsung) 17", unsure of the model right now. I could get it if needed. Any ideas are appreciated.
