Hmm, I'd read the article and that's where doubt hit me.

I'm not that much in the clear whether the card I have is definitely a V4 
cause cardctl doesn't give Rtl1880L or RealTek (me being case sensitive ;o)).
BTW I did find out that this Sweex card is a Edimac clone......that's just to 
make it more intricate:o)

Personally I agree it looks like the best option and the way I see It (and 
what realtek proposes) is to first try the prepared binary (thinks the Suse 
one comes closest to our kernel) driver.
Then if that doesn't work, roll my own.
I'll give it a go tonight (I'ts morning here), thanks for the handholding :o)
