hey Rolf, The ONLY place I'm seeing that file is in mandrakes contrib? Is that true, or is there another site you know where it is? My guess is that I'm going to have the same problem with any. Audacity and another one (I forget the name right now) are having trouble with sound. The preferences pull down shows no devices at all and no way to add one that I can see. Since I run sound constantly I know I'm having now problems with it. I'm a little perplexed. about what could be wrong.
