Thanks for your answers. In fact, I'm still in trouble, as: - I ran the installer as root - in console mode (no X running of course) - as far as I know I'm not using AGP 8X The first time, it complained about tasks it wasn't able to execute, but I'm so stupid that I didn't write it down. But I tried it 3 or 4 times, after installing the kernel sources from the CD, and got then no errors. But all I get is a system freeze when I start X with driver='nvidia'.
