To the best of my knowledge, SunRays themselves cannot be used with Linux. I remember seing such discussions before - you might want to have a look at the comp.sys.sun.* groups on Usenet. Maybe http://ultralinux.org and http://www.sparclinux.org have some information, too. You can, however, do this with Linux without special hardware, as far as I know. I haven't done it myself, but there is a HOWTO for diskless clients by the Linux Documentation Project: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Diskless-HOWTO.html Maybe that's a starting point.
