In cooker contrib/, there is such an app that has been recently written, mutray:


MUTray sits in the KDE system tray, and displays a notification when there
are new updates.  It can then install the packages with urpmi.

I think the binary will work in 9.1 or rebuild the contrib/SRPMS/mutray-0.3-2mdk.src.rpm package.
