search for mass mailing, there are some perl scripts out there that will take a big text file and whack them out one at a time.
Other options are aliases and mailing list managers, of course. If it's a really big project (say 10K to a few million addresses) there are commercial offerings that might be worth considering -- full disclosure, I've been working for one of them the last couple of months.
