I ran into a problem exactly like this with 9.1, and when I ran the
update-menus I completely hosed my Menudrake and menu system. After
spending countless hours pulling my hair out I traced the problem back to an
rpm of Fluxbox that I had installed, one of the files in /etc/menu was not
properly written. Off the top of my head I can't remember exactly which
file it was. You may or may not have fluxbox installed so this could be
completely uncalled for, just thought I would give my 2cents. YMMV, HTH.

This is driving me nuts. Running 9.1 with KDE 3.1.3 from texstar. I have
OOo
1.1 installed (bin file, not an rpm) and have been trying to create kmenu
entries for it. I have done it 3 times now using Menudrake and it only
lasts
for the current session. Upon reboot, the entries are gone.

What is the deal here? Has anyone else had similar problems with menudrake?

Not even kmenuedit will keep the entries. No error message, nothing.
Everything appears to go OK and the entry appears for the moment, then fades

away as described.

Of course GWBush loves huge deficits. He owns lots of T bills which finance

the debt. The higher the debt, the more money he makes.
