Interesting...  are you using 9.2rc2?  My system locked up tighter than
<your favorite analogy>...  absolutely, totally, uninterruptably DEAD!  No
clock updates, nothing...

Did you have lots of swap in play?  I'm not sure I wanna repeat it; but I
do normally have LOTS of stuff running...
