<snip> I have an old pentium here with a couple of 80gig HDs and a 1gig HD...all you need to do is install in the small disk so the computer boots from it...once linux is running, it'll see the 80gig HD without a problem...I actually remember (and my roommate confirmed just now) that we have the 80gig disks marked as non-existant in the BIOS...linux checks the IDE controllers while booting and doesn't care about what the BIOS says.
