a few days ago I screwed up one of my boxes by giving it some rpm commands while urpmi was running (combination of virtual desktops, urpmi database locking issue, and PEBCAK).
I've done rpm --rebuilddb a couple of times so it's now consistent again; unfortunately, it's consistent in the belief that it hasn't got any RPMs installed :-) I figure this will gradually correct itself with urpmi.update --auto-select as the various packages get updated, but that's kind of lame and a waste of mirror bandwidth; any better ideas for fixing it? thanks, -- Jack Coates Monkeynoodle: A Scientific Venture...
