Not really, I was planning it for a backup device, which could be Rsynced, I have yet to look right into it.. there is already a number of on the fly disk compressions that can be used.. such as what's on the knoppix CDs etc, I know there is something out there suitable, it's just a matter of finding it Cheers Mark
