Not trying to complie KDevelop, no. I'm trying my hand at writing a couple small games (hopefully, with experience I'll try my hand at some larger games as well), but I can't even get the SDL equivalent of 'Hello World' to compile. I get an 'undefined reference to 'SDL_*' error for each SDL_* function call I make. I've got #include <SDL/SDL.h> up with the rest of the includes, and it isn't complaining about being able to find SDL.h any more, but it won't compile because of the undefined reference errors.

The KDevelop & SDL mini-how-to is out of date enough (last updated for KDevelop 1.4) and I'm unfamiliar enough with KDevelop (first attempt to use 2.1.5) that I don't know how to adjust the how-to instructions to fit. I see references that KDevelop 3 is supposed to include a SDL project template, but that doesn't do me any good now.

I have found my sdl.m4 file since my last post, but I've got to think that including that in configure.in.in has to be easier than actually copying and pasting it into place, but I'll be dipped if I know the sytax to do it any other way. (I'm a total makefile/automake newbie, unfortunately.)

I'm trying to get KDevelop completely set up for some development, but I'm having some problems.

First, I can't seem to find some of the files it wants for various optional stuff like help, and project documentation. I'm looking for where to find RPMs that include the following:

KDELibs-Doc
sgml2html
kdoc
Glimpse
Glimpseindex

Second, I can't seem to figure out how to get a project using SDL to compile. It's a *very* basic project at this point, and I'm getting undefined references for all of the SDL_* function calls. I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of figuring out how to tell it to use the libraries, but I can't figure out where/how to do it. (If you need to see the source & messages, just ask.)

Thanks

Curious here are you trying to compile kdevelop yourself?

James

PS. On SDL you probably need one of the libSDL devel rpms.
