I'm trying to set up Qmail on Linux Mandrake 9.1. I've tried to run the RPM for Mandrake 9.1, but it didn't seem to work. I then downloaded the source and installed that way, but it looks like I might have done one thing wrong. It looks like the program is trying to find /usr/local/bin/ when it should be looking for /usr/bin/ instead. How do I fix that?
I have many virtual servers running, as well. I've installed ucspi-tcp-0.88 and daemontools-0.76. ------------------------------------------------------- Here are the specifics when I run "sh inst_check": ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/tcprules from ucspi-tcp ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/tcpserver from ucspi-tcp ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/multilog from daemontools ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/softlimit from daemontools ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/setuidgid from daemontools ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/supervise from daemontools ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/svok from daemontools ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/svscan from daemontools ! Couldn't find /usr/local/bin/tai64nlocal from daemontools ! Couldn't find SV entry in inittab '! svscan /service' doesn't seem to be running ------------------------------------------------------- Here is what I get when I run "qmailctl stat": /service/qmail-send: unable to open supervise/ok: file does not exist /service/qmail-send/log: unable to open supervise/ok: file does not exist /service/qmail-smtpd: unable to open supervise/ok: file does not exist /service/qmail-smtpd/log: unable to open supervise/ok: file does not exist messages in queue: 16 messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 16 --------------------------------------------------- When I run "ps -efl | grep "service errors" | grep -v grep" I get nothing in return. Thanks for any suggestions. I just want email to work, I wish it wasn't this difficult! I've posted this on the Qmail help list as well, but maybe someone here can reply more quickly. Thanks. James
