Assuming you've installed LILO in the 9.0 root partition as well, add an entry
to 9.2's lilo.conf:
other=/dev/hda7 # or whatever partition you've installed it on
label="mdk9.0"
table=/dev/hda # partition's drive
If you don't mind a daisy chain of Lilos, that is. Don't forget to run lilo to
implement your changes.
Too bad Freeswan is broken, though. Having pfkey problems?

My guess is, try installing OpenSSL:
