I tried using a CD of mp3s, and while Win98 on the machine could not play the mp3s, it could read the disk. I am hoping that was enough. And not to mention, but the install-splash image file was read from the CD, so I am not sure if that was the problem. The HTTP/FTP thing is pretty intriguing, however. -- Linux: For the people, by the people.
