So I hunted around, and found that a program had crashed, leaving /dev/dsp occupied, so I killed it off, and tried again. Now Gramofile acts like it should, giving me the recording screen.
But still, I have some sort of problem with picking up the standard input with anything: gramofile, Audacity, Rezound. It seems like maybe a reboot is in order, but I would rather not, for the obvious uptime reason. Rob -- Linux: For the people, by the people.
