Btw, LG does not seem to think so, tagging their firmware updates as 'For Mandrake Linux 9.2 Installation Only' :-( Still, as someone who is concerned with promoting Linux on the desktop for the computer-illiterate, I regret having to remark 'Installing this user friendly operating system can render your cd-rom drive unusable' , instead of 'Although this is an LG friendly installer, your drive might still be vulnerable.
