Use Ctrl+Click to add to the selection, or Shift+Click to select a range. I don't know is this is present in the version you're using, but it's in SVN.
using(0.1.11), i needed to make a lot of clicks to classify them. It would be nice if there is a way to assign a shortcut to every tag, so when i can tag images by making clicks.
There are two shortcuts here. Hitting 't' will allow you to edit the tags on the selected photo by typing, and this has tab completion and will create new tags if they don't already exist. The other way is to use the right-clcik context menu. This is very useful, as it can be applied to a multiple selection.
