I generally do not see too much value in detailed mission statements. A mission statement should be a direction and should not contain specific testable goals. If they are specific and testable goals then they should be moved into an implementation plan or roadmap!
Furthurmore because of this abstract nature of a mission statement it should be concise, and short, able to be remembered and kept in mind at all times. My favourite feature of a mission statement is that it should be used to settle disagreements about what features belong in the application. Here is my mission statement....
