Nikon NEF files have the option of embedding a fullsize jpg inside the raw file. When opening files without these embedded jpgs that the raw data is used to display the picture. Perfect.
However, if an embedded jpg exists, it is used instead of the raw data. This is a good step when scrolling through photos, as decoding the jpg is quicker. However, the problem is that if a user sits on a picture, the raw data is never used! Instead, the relatively low-quality embedded jpg continues to be displayed. I have not tested this with other raw files (ie: CRW). Running the current, unpatched cvs. --Doug _______________________________________________ F-spot-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/f-spot-list
