I'm importing photos from my Pictures directory. I have ~3000 pictures there. It started off fast, but slowed down quickly, to the point where it was often taking ~1 second per photo. This is with "copy files to Photos folder" *unchecked*, so no copying is actually taking place, and with a build from the trunk that I just did (r3037). It's also spewing out messages like:
open uri = file:///home/hjstein/Pictures/canon-fuji/2003_08_31/101_0169.jpg open uri = file:///home/hjstein/Pictures/canon-fuji/2003_08_31/101_0169.jpg open uri = file:///home/hjstein/Pictures/canon-fuji/2003_08_31/101_0169.jpg old = "" new = "" heading = "ASCII" value = 2003:08:31 13:54:17 len = 19 value = f-spot version 0.4.0 len = 20 value = 2007:03:22 22:41:16 len = 19 value = f-spot version 0.4.0 len = 20 value = 2007:03:22 22:41:16 len = 19 Saved 7073 bytes Any idea what's going on? Is there any work on speeding it up?
