We're slightly trying to get rid of the non-portable dependencies, mostly gnome and gnomeui. After that, it should be possible to run f-spot on the Mac.
This effort is going slowly, as - I don't own any Mac [1] - the bindings for gio, the replacement of gnome-vfs are still unstable So, having f-spot running on the Mac is currently not possible but should in the (near ?) future if some developer want to take the task. regards Stephane [1] this issue is easy to solve, one could easily drop me a MacBook Air...
