Hi all

In the latest TagLib# release, commit 28a9b08cb4dc99133295 reverted a
patch to IFDReader.cs.

That original patch was giving me some protection against MakerNote
metadata problems reported in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=638597

With that patch reverted, and no take up of the fix offered in bug
638597 (see comment #14) I will be back to Fspot consuming hundreds of
Mb of memory on my old Kodak DC215 photos again.

I assume there was a reason for reverting that patch (??), but we are
still left with TagLib# that will consume memory on certain photos.

Can we therefore have my suggested fix of 638597 applied
(or something akin to it)?

Regards
Karl
