agree chains are better, thinking of switching this year or next!

I'd be concerned of eating drive belts and clutch belts... I did a fairly
hard pull away from the checkered flag stand once and it did about a 0-60
in under 4 (I'd have to find the data file again) but we run chain drive.
I've never actually attempted a drag run but I expect you'd be ok if you
didn't hammer it too hard off the line.
