Stan, There were 4 cars in the 1:29s at the Runoffs.  The cars in the 1:29s
were as follows.  The engine info is my best recollection.

1st place, Doug Marsh: 494 engine for certain. 1:30.029 Qlap - 1:29.445 Rlap


2nd place, Wily McMann: Pretty sure it was a 493 engine. 1:29.834 Qlap -
1:29.741 Rlap 

3rd place, Mike Brent: pretty sure he had a 493 engine as I thought I saw
him back up. 1:29.534 Qlap - 1:29.530 Rlap 

15th place, Brian Novak: 494 engine for certain 1:29.603 Qlap - 1:29.360
Rlap

I am checking with my tech friends to make sure as they have the records of
what each car had to weigh as it was on each tech sticker.  You may have an
easier time getting this info from the Runoffs tech records.

I think it is important to look at the qualifying times from the Runoffs
last year & you will see that the 493 with the added 50 lbs is absolutely
equal to the 494.  Admittedly Brian Novak turned the fastest race lap by
less than .1 seconds with a 494, but that "super trick" car is now illegal.
There were several 493s within .1 or .2 seconds in both qualifying & the
race.  This indicates to me that the 493 with 50 lbs & the 494 are extremely
close from a competitive perspective.
