Round numbers....a typical National event costs about $275. That'll get
you Saturday practice and qualifying, Sunday warmup and the race. Double
Regionals cost about the same, but you get Saturday practice/qualifying,
then a race, and the same thing on Sunday...."two races for the price of
one".
I didn't enter any Nationals this year. I was planning on waiting til my
lap times were better (I didn't want to be a moving roadblock for the
fast drivers). Hopefully the National events will be on my schedule next
year.

Good start, but the crux of the question is whether the entries to qualify a
class for the Runoofs are only counted for National events or National and
Regional. I would like to think that my entries into the Regionals here
count toward "participation." I'll enter National events as soon as I can.
