I thought that too, but IMSA has an IMSA lights class, which is a spec series. The car has to be as manufactured, and the manufacturers are using crate motors. The curret crop of 1 liter sport bike motors are making in excess of 150 hp at the rear wheel!!! The motors themselves are lighter than a FC block, and the gearbox is included. I think it would smart and easy for SCCA to put a clamp on it, and call it stock only. Chris R.
