Jan's way has a possible added benefit in that one the option to do a (maybe) more time consuming but certainly less prone to rim bending method of tire changing.

In other words, break the beads, then unbolt the rim halves and and never force the tire bead over the outer edge of the rim half.

Or, another way to do it, (which is what I do)....Use a giant rubber
o-ring,
grease it up with sythetic grease and put it in the center of the 2
wheel halves.
When you tighten the wheel bolts, the o-ring is pushed outwards to the
correct
sealing place. And the o-rings are re-usable, as long as they are kept
greased.
The grease also acts as a sealing agent to keep the air inside the
wheel/tire.

I don't know that I know of anyone who has run tubes.  To seal the rim
halves together, use a high quality adhesive silicone sealant.  You can
run a small bead then smear it smooth with a finger.  Let it cure before
mounting tires, and you should be good to go.
