Chcuk, I don't think there is a class for the Legends in SCCA, NASA has a
class for them.

Competition....there are various mods and equipment that must be added
to the standard Legend car for it to pass tech.
Additionally the 600 Racing (Legend manufacturer) 'Indy Roadster' is
legal in CSR, with appropriate updates. There were 2 of the Indy
Roadsters that competed in the Daytona National this past year....there
were not CSR competitive but they were on track with their 'required'
Hoosier treaded tires.

Marshall, Good point, but the relatively low speeds these guys
(legend/dwarf) attain keep them pretty safe,however I can imagine the
comfort level would be a lot less if they turned speeds reached at road
courses!

Right before I bought my first open-wheeler, I was watching one of the
local Charlotte Legends events on cable - I was considering my options,
and Legends looked pretty good. That night, one of the drivers had a
fairly minor collision that ended up burning the car down. He barely
managed to get himself out of the car, and was severely burned - he was
fully engulfed in flames, and was well and truly on fire when he
finally go out. When my wife and I saw that, Legends became a
non-starter.
