You are right about not having much experience with tall rubbers yet, but considering that if there is no damping, the gain in control will probably be minimal.

I've experimented with springs with no dampers and it is scary how quickly you can bounce into the weeds.

If the rubber has some inherent damping, then how likely is it that they will have very little damping in bump and 2 to 5 times as much in rebound?

For a damping system to work reasonably well on almost any car, there has the be at least a 2:1 or greater ratio in damping between rebound and bump.

Very interesting talk about shocks. Considering we have been granted new shock dimensions that we haven't even used yet. Also I think we need to write some letters to get the weight removed from the 493 since it is ( if I remember correctly) a current production engine.
