Richard Don't know but I'd guess the bowls are set up to "see" the boosted inlet pressure. Think about a cheap sand blaster as the venturi draws sand into the gun..... Bernoulli ( spelling ) at work. Mine has 150psi air going in and the sand comes comes out the end it's supposed to. Superchargers are not exhaust gas driven.
