Also in the October FasTrack is the proposal awaiting BoD approval to change 17.1.11 Participation Requirements for National Status from "average number of entrants" of 3.5 to 2.5. As already noted on this mailing list the BoD does not approve all GCR changes. If this change is not approved, guess who is on probation. The final 2006 average for F500 was 3.4714. Just maybe Topeka is THE place to argue for a weight reduction on the 493 and maybe get some class growth. I'm sure this change would be supported by all manufactures. Note: When we started F500 racing in 2000, F500 ended the year ranked 16th with an entrant average of 4.03.
