Chris, I did my first school with a commercial school in their Chevy Cavalier and then an SCCA school (with Sean) in F500. I did have an entire autocross season in my KBS though. If there is a commercial school operating at the track you are going to take your school at, see if they have a video of the course; or just try to find other videos of the course online. The school videos talk you around the course more than the "enthusiast" ones.
By all means, try on a car (or one of the same vintage/make) before you buy it - and if you don't already have a driving suit, wear heavy sweats. I'm a snug fit into my '90 KBS Mark 5, have room to slop around in one Red Devil chassis and can't even get my butt down to the seat pan in a different year Red Devil. I'm about 5'10" and 250 pounds. These cars are about the most fun you can have lying down with heavy coveralls on. :-) Gene near Seattle On 10/2/06, Christopher Eveland <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Thanks for all of the responses, they've been very helpful.
