Dave, If John mentions your name, Tom will just hang up! :-) Art -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jim's Lawn Shop Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 5:21 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [F500] Max Vehicle width John, I'd never heard of the "dime" test, maybe it's a Canadian thing. Was mostly just messing with you, but if those tires are more than a year old I wouldn't get to carried away making car changes till you got some fresh rubber on it. Tom at Mid Atlantic would be glad to sell some tires. Personally at this point I'd wait till next spring to replace em. You guys have got to be about ready to hibernate eh? Things to ask Tom about that will just brighten his day( and likely yours ) ...really lightweight rims, best when asked in person if you weigh about 275+ lbs. ...super low air pressure, say 6-7 lbs. ...tell him you are part of a formula SAE team ...ask him about discounts on tires, you heard he gives some guys 30% off list. ...wait all day until you see him eating dinner and ask if he can mount those tires you got last winter while you wait, after all you need em for first heat next morning. He might just share an opinion. If the filters on Eric's list allow it, let us know how it turns out. And as a last resort if none of that works you can go ahead and mention my name!
