Ron,

What did the plug look like in the misbehaving cylinder ? Was it wet, dry,
oily ?

Are you using a pulse fuel pump ? Is it located above or below the pulse
port on your engine ? If the pump is below the pulse port, you will have to
drain the pulse line to the pump after every weekend. Oil and fuel will get
into the line and limit the pumps ability to pump fuel. Happened to me !

Are you using fuel filter(s) ? If you have one for each carb, you may have
a plugged filter.

As you may have noticed, I think your problem is fuel related. I suggest
several things.
1. If you are using a pulse pump, completely rebuild the pump. If you are
using an electric, make sure that it works OK.
2. If you are not using fuel filters, start. I suggest one in each line
between the pump and carb.
3. Completely disassemble and clean your bad cylinder carb. Especially look
at the top of the float valve. Dirt on top of the valve will at one moment
block fuel and next let it pass. Very frustrating. On second thought, do
both carbs.
4. Check to make sure that both carbs are opening wide when your pedal is at
the end of its travel.
5. Make sure that the main jet metering rod clip is in place.
6. Make sure that your float level is adjusted correctly. Also make sure
you don't have a flooded float.

Richard
