  That is really where F1000 should have ended up. Winning 600's for under
15000 and 1000's under 20000.
Bike engines, wings, shocks, springs, faster
than a continental. Many drivers.

How have the English managed to figure out
formula classes with such aplomb?

OK guys, here it is.

This
car includes all the ideas of the group to create a new class
called F-5.1.
It has:

* Full coil-over shocks
* Wings
* Data acquisition
* Motorcycle
derived power
* Sequential gear shifter
* Babe fans (see the rest of the
photos in this album).

Comes complete with sponsors (alcohol at that), room
for a keg or crew
member and is almost street legal (that was our story when
the cops
stopped us anyway.)

For an upcoming
race promotion, they had this car on display in front of
our office. The
marketing people couldn't get it started, so I got it
running for them and got
to go for a spin in downtown Richmond.

To keep it competitive with the
current F-5's, I am proposing a 1 keg
weight penalty.
