Well, If you watched the NASCAR race yesterday, and listened to what the announcers had to say, you may take on a whole new prospective on the spring/shock thing.
Apparently there are some bumps in the oval in Texas. As I was listing to the announcers talk about the difficulty of the NASCAR guys getting around the track, they said that most of the drivers commented that they had to be very careful going over the bumps. They said that they had to make sure that they were not turning or braking as they passed over the bumps. Sound familiar ? If the NASCAR crews and drivers with the millions that they spend preparing their cars still have to worry about a few dips, I guess that puts us right up there with the big guys. Maybe, just maybe, the springs and shocks will not be the holy grail !
