Matt,
A couple of more thoughts on the frame.
If you are not doing the work yourself try
to schedule everything close together.
The frame will start to rust before it's
done being blasted, don't waste much
time between steps, it'll just make more
"repeat" work.
I'm also not real fond of powder coat
on frames. The nice shiny dark colors
look cool but are not as easy to inspect.
There's something to be said for light
gray flat paint when it comes to inspection
and or repair.....ugly, but real practical.
I've never had a problem with sand blasting steel
and welding, I always reclean the area just
prior to weld anyway.
