Lou -

Personally I think we are getting an abdication of leadership by the BOD.
With the legalization of 6 National classes in the past 3 years....they are
effectively saying...we don't care what you want in the way of
classes....YOU GOT IT!. Leadership is about making decisions, tough
decisions, while looking out for the best overall interests of what you are
making decisions about. What I am seeing from the BOD is a failure to make
the TOUGH decisions....for decisions on things of minor consequence they can
bat them out like infield practice fungos...for the TOUGH DECISIONS they
can't get the bat off their shoulder and as a consequence are taking called
strike 3's.

As a class it behooves all of us that have National Licenses to
compete....to compete in Nationals as much as our circumstances will permit.
At the very least, compete in your home, or nearest, Region's National, just
to test the water and see how you stack up against the Big National (I can't
stop laughing on that one) drivers. Even if one is not competitive, each
race in the presence of better competition is a learning
experience....learning about driving....learning about preparation and set
up.....learning about the comradery that keeps F500 the best bang for the
buck in SCCA racing.

Thanks. Glad to see someone has a handle on data and is using on such info.

What does the data prove? Like any consumer driven industry, ex. music,
movies, clothes...tastes change. Yes, it would be a lot easier to cope if
we had a crystal ball but gee how dull life would be.

As always thanks for sharing with the masses.

Do you think we (members) are get enough why "we're gonna do it this way"
data from Headquarters or are we getting too much data?
