Tony, a wiring diagram would be great! Thanks in advance.

With a conventional tach like the kroeber, it connects to the
lighting coil in parallel with the voltage regulator. When I
installed a Digatron a few years ago, I couldn't get the tach to work
reliably because the regulator created transients. Digatron
recommended a series resistor in place of the regulator and I added a
simple low pass filter on the tach input. Both tach operation and
charging of the battery have been very reliable in autocross. We are
in Ohio for thanksgiving; when we get back to Massacusetts in a few
days, I can probably dig up a wiring diagram if you are interested.

How do I hook up a tach to a Kaw 440? I read somewhere about using
a volt reg in line with the coil wire? Is the hookup the same for
an analog gauge vs. something like a Digatron?
