Dave, it's amazing how technology can save lives and limbs, but there's so
many little things that you never think about that happen every day.
   I'm a welder so there's any number of hazards in any given moment, fire,
shock, falling..... The most simple, eye injuries. Another fabricator in the
next town, his son got a hunk in his eye, well several surgeries later, multi
thousand dollars that's not covered by insurance later, he's getting some of
the sight back in that eye.
   Hope everybody has a safe and happy Holiday!!!

  Two things quickly come to my mind:

1. Since my dad spent about half his life cutting wood or paying others to
cut wood in his employ, I quickly think of how many fingers were discarded
and, for the future, how many will be left in their "as-installed" location;

2. How might this technology be applied to other hazardous machinery in
numerous workplaces (e.g., wood shops, metal shops, garages, and job-sites).

Thanks, Dave.
