The simple answer is: the car is 55" wide (max legal) with a little "wiggle room" the deck should be 60" (5'). If you use a trailer that has the wheels below the deck - 5' is needed. Most prefer on a 5' wide trailer to have wheels and fenders outside the deck (lowering the overall height of the trailer for easier loading and unloading) So...if the fender/wheel combo is 6" on a side then a seven foot opening will be damn tight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But an 8 foot garage door will offer no problem. Front to back the car will fit on a 10' deck but there will be overhang - mine has a slight rear overhang and I was really upset when I got tagged in the rear at a stoplight - luckily it just hit the trailer and not the F5!!!!!
