Log Book numbers get stamped into the Main Roll hoop when the Log Book is
issued. Normally it will be near the inspection hole that has been
drilled
in the Main Roll hoop to verify the wall dimension of the Main Roll hoop.
The hand stamping procedure makes the resulting impression very light and
easily covered over by a coat of paint.
